Poker online has both exploded the former old-boys-club and also sped hundreds of thousand online poker players along the learning curve at a hyper-speed. One neglected area new online poker players should master however is table talk, if they want to play poker in live games.

According to T.J., who has busted many a new online poker player who ventures out to Las Vegas poker rooms, new online poker tournament fields simply provide a welcome challenge to old school poker players to master. Apparently, online poker whizzes still have to learn to look across the table at their opponents, yet still maintain their compendium of online poker knowledge. Meanwhile, old school poker players will both use their verbal skills and acumen to evaluate opponents in a way not common to strictly online poker play.
